PROBABLY THE FASTEST PRE-WAR RILEY IN EXISTENCE

THIS CAR
  • The first thing to say about this car is that this it’s no ordinary pre-war Riley…
  • The ‘Blue Streak’ project began a number of years ago with an original 1938 Riley Adelphi chassis – arguably the company’s most sophisticated chassis of the pre-war era.
  • Beaufort Engineering of Doncaster, England, took this chassis and embarked on a 3-year ground up restoration/build, that ultimately gave birth to the ‘Blue Streak’.
  • With build receipts totalling over £200,000, the Blue Streak features a Derek Chinn supercharged 2½ Litre Riley engine producing an astonishing 225bhp, and has been built using only period correct main components.
  • It carries the all important VSCC official ‘buff’ eligibility papers, allowing it entry into some of the most prestigious historic events, concours, sprints, hill climbs and race circuits, as well as long and short touring.
  • The car is offered with full weather equipment, including hood, tonneau cover and luggage space for two.
  • The car has also been approved for competing in vintage and historic racing by the UK Vintage Sports Car Club.
  • We have had the pleasure of driving this car on several occasions since it’s been in our care, and as well sounding absolutely fantastic, you can’t help but acknowledge how genuinely fast this car is!
