History
  • Originally supplied new as a 1973 911 Coupé in Signal Yellow with Black Leatherette; factory options included 90L fuel tank, heated rear window, rear tow hooks (Porsche certificate on file).

  • Converted in Germany to 2.3 ‘ST’ competition specification during 2014–2016.

  • Imported and UK registered in July 2019.

  • FIA Historic Technical Passport: Period G2, Class GTS21, valid to 31/12/2025.

Engine
  • 2.3-litre flat six, full rebuild by Skramovsky Motorsport (2015): new aluminium cylinders, bearings, timing gear, valves, gasket set, cylinder heads refurbished.

  • Weber 46 IDA carburettors, rebuilt and machined to 46 mm by VGS Motorsport (2016).

  • Sport exhaust system with twin 100-cell cats.

  • Dyno (VGS, Nov 2016): 205 PS DIN @ 6,850 rpm / 213.8 Nm @ 6,605 rpm.

Gearbox & Driveline
  • Original 915/12 gearbox replaced with a rebuilt (non-original) 915 unit.

  • Overhauled with new synchros, bearings, seal kit.

  • Short-shift linkage installed.

Fuel & Ancillaries
  • Rally fuel tank kit fitted by Toni Planken Engineering (2014).

  • Ancillaries refurbished including oil lines, heat shielding, powder-coated/anodised parts.

UK Works – Prill Porsche Classics (2019–2020)

Extensive recommissioning and upgrade programme totalling just under £50,000, including:

  • Engine deep cleaned and valve clearances & carburettors stripped, rebuilt, tuned and dyno tested.

  • Replacement 915 gearbox rebuilt with new internals.

  • Complete brake system overhaul (master cylinder, calipers, discs, pads, hoses).

  • Suspension & steering rebuilt with new bushes, joints, damper service, geometry setup.

  • Fuel system refitted and renewed (pumps, filters, lines).

  • Electrics refreshed (wiring, battery, lights, gauges).

  • Fluids, fasteners and general safety preparation for FIA events.

 

WHAT WE THINK
  • This is not a car for pootling around town in… it needs to be driven, and driven hard.
  • It’s raw, it’s tough and it’s fast. If you’re below 5,000 rpm then you’ve kind of missed the point.
  • But give it an empty road or a morning at Goodwood, and it’ll be hard to not fall in love!
