• First registered in 1970, this car started out life as a 1300 coupe. But in true rally car fashion, it’s far from that now…
• The general over view of this car and its rally preparation is as follows:

• • 1600 HF engine built by Omicron in Norfolk
  • Custom roll cage
  • Cobra Imola seats with 6-point harnesses
  • Fully integrated fire extinguisher system
  • Separate 5kg fire extinguisher
  • External fire and electrical kill switches
  • 60 litre foam fuel tank
  • 8 wheels
  • Brantz Pro 3 trip and digital clock with driver repeater
  • Additional Cibe spotlights
  • Perspex side & rear windows

• In the way of proven history, its certainly not lacking on this either. It’s competed on The Classic Marathon, Scottish Malts, The Winter Challenge to Monte Carlo, London to Lisbon and most recently, Hero ERA’s latest epic rally, The Badawi Trail. Worth noting that the last one is a 16 day event across the UAE!
• Before heading out to Saudi Arabia to start the Badawi Trail, the car was booked in to Mellors Elliot Motorsport for it’s pre event preparation which included:
  • Full suspension refresh
  • Full ball joint refresh
  • Track rod ends
  • Distributer
  • New wiring loom (custom)
  • Brake discs & pads all round
  • Pirelli T6 Tyres
  • Full fluid & filter service
  • Spark plugs
  • New battery
• Upon arrival back from the Badawi Trail, the car then again booked into Mellors Elliot Motorsport for a full engine rebuild at a cost of over £13k.
• Today the car is approaching its first 1000 miles on the new engine, which will mark the end of it’s running in period. Once it does hit this it’ll have its first oil service meaning it will be a turn key solution for many adventures for its next owner.
• Final mention is with regards to our partnership with Hero ERA. Inclusive of the asking price of this car, the next owner will gain a free premier membership, entry to Hero Challenge 2, Hero Challenge 3 and also Hero Challenge 1 of 2025 (event details TBC).
