First delivered to Sanderson & Holmes in Derby on August 1st, 1959, chassis S824998DN was first registered as ‘RL 48’ by its original owner, Mr. Robert Locke.
Since then, the car has remained with Jaguar enthusiasts throughout its life, and the history file includes servicing records and MOTs to back up the 53,000 miles on the clock.
Originally specified in Cotswold Blue with Grey leather, the car was entrusted to Wildae Restorations Ltd in 1979 to carry out a body-off-chassis restoration.
During the restoration, the car was repainted in Old English White and the interior retrimmed in Red leather, which although not original to the car, is surely one of the most timeless Jag colour combos.
