THE MODEL

The 456M (M for Modificata) was unveiled in 1998 as an updated version of the already popular Ferrari 456.

Improvements to the car’s design, cooling system and interior produced a more capable, more reliable, and in many people’s eyes, more desirable overall package that was noted at the time for being the first production car to feature a full carbon fibre bonnet.

Available in both 6-speed manual (GT) and 4-speed automatic (GTA) configurations, the 456M featured a tweaked version of the same 5.5L V12 engine that was first seen in the original 456, producing a hefty 436bhp and a top speed of 192mph.

Production lasted 5 years from 1998-2003, with fewer than 700 456M GTAs ever being built.

This Car

Originally supplied through Al Tayer Motors of Dubai in 2002, this Ferrari 456M GTA was ordered new in Tour de France Blue ov. Tan by a well-known businessman and Dubai resident.

After enjoying the car for some time, the car was sold to the Guerlains, a French family famous for founding one of the oldest and most revered perfume, cosmetic and skincare houses in the world.

The car remained in their possession until 2016 when it was sold to its current owner, a successful English businessman and motoring enthusiast, who decided to bring the car over the UK.

Supplied with a back log of receipts and service history, the car was regularly maintained by Al Tayer Motors throughout its life in Dubai, and has recently been subject to a major recommissioning by Rardley Motors since landing on UK soil.
