THE MODEL
Launched at the 1967 International and Universal Exposition, ‘Expo’, in Montreal, Canada.
Bertone designed fastback bodywork by the legendary Marcello Gandini.
2.6L V8 producing just shy of 200bhp – an enlarged but ‘detuned’ version of the V8 developed by Alfa Romeo for the Tipo 33 Sports Racing Prototypes.
Dry-sump lubrication, cross-plane crank, and SPICA fuel injection.
ZF 5-Speed Manual Gearbox with Limited Slip Differential.
Independent Front Suspension via Double Wishbones, Coils Springs and Dampers, with a Live Axle at the Rear.
Produced between 1970-1977, with just under 4,000 cars built.
This Car
Delivered new in Italy on the 1st February 1973, this car’s past history is sadly not present.
The current London owner brought the car over to the UK in April 2015, with a vision to restore it into a mechanically sorted daily driver.
Since being in the UK, the mechanical history file shows extensive restoration to all mechanical components of the car.
The lion’s share of the work has been completed by DTR European Sports Cars, specialists in classic Italian sports cars.
